A small bulbous plant with few leaves, smaller that the stem, flat on the face and curved on the reverse. Flowers that emerge in the spring don’t stand out due their brown colour, but make them alternately in the form of a unilateral raceme. The fruit is a trilobed globose capsule with black coloured seeds.
Distribution: West of the Mediterranean region
